Wow. Now this would have been a piece of history to own but with an original asking price of $38.5 million it was just a little bit out of our reach. Nonetheless it seems that someone got it for a steal at the bargain basement price of only $31 million. The new lucky owner is Jane Goldman, the daughter of the late Sol Goldman of New York City real estate fame and fortune. Sol passed away in 1987 leaving the management of his real estate empire to Jane and her brother Allan.
As with all grand Palm Beach estates, it has a name above and beyond the Kennedy Compound, “La Guerida” which means “bounty of war”, served as the “Winter White House” during the John F. Kennedy administration. The property sports 11 bedrooms, give or take about 12,000 square feet and more than 170 feet on the beach.
