South Beach will welcome Phil Collins as it’s latest semi-permanent celebrity about town, although he’s no stranger to the island, he just dropped $33 million to purchase a 12,153 square foot mansion on the very prestigious North Bay Road – once supposedly owned by Jennifer Lopez, most recently by Mark Gainor the former CEO of Adams Respiratory Therapeutics (not quite a sexy provenance).
Originally built in 1929 and extensively renovated ever since, the “house” has seven bedrooms, eight full and three half-bathrooms. Other amenities includs an elevator, bar, wide open balcony, a dock, and a pool.
We certainly hope that Phil enjoys himself, he’ll be next door neighbors to Barry Gibb, although Hulk Hogan and Matt Damon have long left the area.
The Biz Journal Article was pretty funny, going through who exactly Phil Collins was, which is strange, because didn’t he help to “invent” Miami by way of original Miami Vice sound track? Just throwing that out there.
