The very talented Catalan architect Ricardo Bofill had a nice small write up in Ocean Drive on his first American condo design project here in South Florida. Development has now gone well in to the infill between South Beach and mid-beach on the west side of the island, and 3900 Alton is in progress, relatively small at only 8 stories, but nonetheless big for the neighborhood. An attractive building to be sure, designed by a talented guy, but hardly noteworthy in concept, the usual floor to ceiling glass walls and balconies. The public spaces will be filled with various art and the landscaping done by the local firm of Naturalficial. Welcome to Miami Ricardo and congrats.
