Some of us beach folk almost certainly remember the Nash Hotel from when it first opened. The basic idea was simple, an off the beach front hotel on Collins that had a couple more amenities than the other Art Deco rehabs and a little less attitude – maybe a more relaxed Delano. Over the years The Nash started to fade a bit, and was in need of an update. Back in January of 2015, it was rebranded the Stiles and has come back to life as it was, a lovely getaway.
The rooms have been cleaned up a bit, the lobby redone and most importantly the three little plunge pools off to the side are in full swing. The plunge pools are probably the best feature of the property. With such a compacted space their separation allows for individual splash time without the odd discomfort of being around other people. We all know the experience of being at a relatively small hotel with a small pool and feeling a little awkward about jumping in with everyone else around.
The bigger draw of course, is that depending upon the time of year, obviously, you can still get a room for less than $200 a night. That’s pretty amazing. The food at the restaurant has received good reviews, it has really nice outdoor space too which is a plus, where sometimes the outdoor dining can seem little too cool for school.
