Too many more of these posts and we’ll probably lose our badge of sarcasm for over hyped real estate in Miami. We stopped in to an open house a couple weeks ago for 3930 Hardie Avenue and were oddly impressed how much we liked the property. While the finishes were a little blah and it lacked any personal style, of course that’s not necessarily a bad thing in a home, there’s ample opportunity to make it your own by bringing in a designer of your choosing and guidance. The home itself is impossibly large, just shy of 9,000 square feet, what in the hell anyone would do with all that much room is a complete mystery, although it has seven beds and nine baths. The rooms were all a good manageable size, not simply huge for the sake of being huge, but well proportioned for the house. The lot is amazing, with a legit backyard and greenery and a good sized pool.
Personally we don’t love the Mediterranean style, but the other options seem to be the generic modern crap that’s popping up everywhere else. Someone with a little imagination could actually do a little jazzing up to the entryway and exterior and give a little unique character to the home.
So here’s the deal at 8,800 square feet and for $3.6 million, it’s just above $400 a square foot. So that’s pretty sweet.
