Wow, for those who have been watching the construction for the past few years and like all of us have been keeping our fingers crossed that The Frost Museum of Science would eventually get finished and open, well, wait no longer, the day has come and the museum officially opens this coming Monday May 8th.
In total it is a 250,000 square foot homage to modern science and curiosity.
The giant sphere out front, is as you might have guessed correctly a planetarium that seats 250.
As far as what one can expect, here’s what we’ve heard. Apparently there’s a 500,000 gallon salt water aquarium.
Befitting a science museum in the new millennium and especially in Miami which will see the worst of Climate Change, it will be partially powered by 240 solar PV panels that are expected to crank out 66 kilowatts of clean electricity.
