From one of Miami’s new favorite architecture firms, Brillhart Architecture comes a very nice and spacious home in the very heart of South Central Coconut Grove. They’ve done a few other homes in the neighborhood, which have been mostly modifications and additions, but this one is completely ground up theirs. Squeezed on to a relatively small lot, but pretty much average sized for the area, the house is just under 4,000 square feet sporting four beds and four baths, although really one of the bedrooms only works as a study. The home itself is gorgeous although wouldn’t call it a family home, the bedrooms are a little too small and of different sizes, the backyard not really a place for kids and most of the open outside space is in the front.
We did do a walk through a little while ago during an open house and from what the broker said the home super environmentally friendly and low maintenance. We will do a little digging around in the future to discover and discuss a bit more about what that all means and what the building materials were, but until we’re better informed would rather not put a foot in our mouths.
The Brillharts are slowly building a very recognizable style that is modern, but warm and welcoming. These are not the whitewashed uncomfortable slab homes that we’ve complained about previously, very livable and quite possibly even fun.
